The L’Oréal ANZ Consumer and Market Insights Director will create, drive and lead the CMI strategy for Australia and New Zealand ultimately driving market share growth via penetration & share of wallet gains.
The CMI Director will build a local CMI roadmap (plan, budget) by prioritising and selecting key topics to drive growth and mobilising the right resources both internal and external.
Reporting to the CDMO, this is a key strategic role in the business and requires stakeholder management, inspiring leadership, innovative thinking at its core. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both consumer and market insights, beauty trends and have a thorough understanding of the Australia & New Zealand beauty landscape.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Leadership & Upskilling
• Set up project teams, squads, governance, tools and methods to answer country business strategy
• Communicate, advise and influence the right levels of the organisation to impact business decisions
• Upskill local teams on sharing CMI expertise, introducing innovation by leveraging internal and external benchmarking and networking
• Oversee research priorities across business, manage workflow and project prioritisation
• Build and transmit a consumer centric culture
• Manage local team budget
• Manage the local team, develop talent and manage cross functional projects
• Partner with all areas of CDMO – media, content & advocacy, e-commerce, CX to ensure consumer and market insights are embedded into L’Oréal Groupe strategy
Market, Consumer & Trend Insights
• Own marketing KPI’s and scorecard across all CDMO domains
• Own consumer, market and shopper data & research best practise
• Respond to strategic requests from Senior Management that require CMI support to resolve
• Consolidate and leverage local 360 analysis on key go-to-market topics to highlight strategic recommendations.
• Review consumer segmentation regularly and provide recommendations on portfolio growth opportunities
• Share trend insights, social listening and content best practise
• Regularly update market understanding to ensure L’Oréal is meeting its growth opportunities
• Set up, monitor and track brand equity over time of all brands in portfolio
• Where relevant conduct consumer and market research to assist in M&A
Portfolio Analysis
• Regularly conduct portfolio analysis to understand growth opportunities in consumer, pricing, customer, trends, geography
• Track recommendations and implementation of strategies
Regional and Global sharing
• Contribute to international insights consolidation by sharing local consumer journey and go-to-market insight with other CMI representatives across the organisation
ABOUT YOU:
• 10+ years experience in consumer & market insights or related roles
• Comprehensive understanding on marketing measurement, KPI and performance
• Previous experience leading a team
• Strong attention to detail and data analysis of both quantitative and qualitative information
• Exposure to managing internal tools, systems and processes required for consumer insights
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
