Payroll Relationship Manager

We are currently seeking a Payroll Relationship Manager to join the L'Oréal Australia team due to an internal promotion. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of two, including a Payroll Officer and Payroll Data Specialist. It is important to note that we have recently outsourced our payroll system, so you should be comfortable working with offshore teams and have strong relationship management skills to collaborate effectively with our outsourced payroll provider.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Relationship management with our outsourced payroll vendor
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, such as Divisional HR teams, Retail HR, our Reward team, Finance functions, and Tax.
  • Integrity of data flows between our payroll and finance systems
  • Overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, including onboarding, monthly pay cycles, reimbursements, and terminations.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages for our head office, Distribution Centre, Field Teams, and Retail Departments.
  • Resolving any payroll issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring compliance with STP, PAYG, Tax, and superannuation reporting and payment requirements.
  • Staying updated on statutory expectations and implementing compliance strategies in accordance with local, state, and federal legislation.
  • Managing superannuation, payroll tax and workers compensation reporting.
  • Handling all end-of-month and end-of-year reporting tasks.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Manager within the Retail Industry in Australia.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HRIS software, with specific experience in Chris21.
  • Familiarity with Awards, Enterprise agreements, state legislation, governance, and compliance.
  • Ability to handle high-volume pay runs and effectively manage queries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated empathy and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under tight timeframes and meet deadlines.
