A Day in the Life 

 

As Category Manager you report to the Head of Category Management and are based in Prague within L’Oréal Consumer Products Division. You will define and deploy the long-term category vision for drugstore & retail, working closely with Sales, Marketing and Key Accounts to grow the category and elevate brand presence instore.

 

  • Build and promote a long-term category vision and tactical deployment plan
  • Create & lead the category development projects for drugstore and retail clients
  • Owner of the permanent shopping in-store category & brand elevation for all POS elements
  • Proactive assortment & distribution optimization, ownership of the assortment vision per channels
  • Superior understanding of the shoppers' needs and behaviors, understanding shopper studies, and proposing an action plan to react based on consumer and category insights
  • Build a strong relationship with the client to co-create a common growth vision
  • Shelf effectiveness with regular planogram optimization and improvement proposals
  • Implement novelties in category and planogram strategy as a pivotal part of the launching process
  • Data reporting: regular update of listing status and category data endorsement
  • Cooperate with the marketing and sales departments throughout the activation planning

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

 

  • Very good communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing or sales
  • Excelent knowledge of MS Office
  • English language 
  • User skill with Nielsen Answers / Spaceman (Pro Space) is an advantage
