What We Are Looking For: 

An individual who can leverage deep shopper and social insights for selling opportunities & exhaustive category analysis to identify growth opportunities. 

 

This individual should help establish omni-channel profitable strategies and accelerate the growth of the Cosmetics, Skincare,  Haircare and Color categories and our brands. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Help Create, gather insights and compile rationale to build a CPD Category strategy framework

 

  • Based on insights and customer knowledge, Identify CPD Long term brands growth opportunities and bridged brand strategy with Category Strategy to maximize the potential.
  • Contribute to translating brand strategy into CPD category swim lanes
  • Develop perspectives on 'where to play' and 'how to win' for CPD portfolio
  • Align leaders on go-to-market "swim lanes" by category – and arbitrates across brands
  • Identify gaps / pitfalls of brand & global CPD strategies vs market trends
  • Prioritize across the CPD portfolio of brands key levers, including: tentpole moments, distribution, pricing, promotion, target consumer groups
  • Reduce in-year re-alignment and debate across brands using clear up front guard rails

 

Measures of Success: 

  • Contributes to defining Clear Portfolio Strategy in Major Avenues for example Brand Swim lanes, Price/Promo Strategy, Exclusive Strategy. 
  • CPD market share gains in line with Budget across all channels
  • Mines relevant Consumer & Shopper insights that help build the CPD strategy
  • Effectively works with internal stakeholders (Category Development, Marketing, BAL, Sales, RGM) to compile information to help build these strategies
  • Helps Build 3Y CPD Vision Creation for all Categories
  • Multi Functional Team 360 feedback

 

The Network you Would Work With: 

Internal: General Managers, SVP Sales, Brand Category Heads, Brand Business Development, New Channel Lead, eCommerce Channel Lead, Customer Team Leaders, DMI, LAB and Category Development Management, BALs

External:  Customer Total Beauty Head, Customer Category Head, Customer Buyer

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Category Development, Sales, or Marketing role
  • Multi category experience preferably in the Beauty Space (Haircare, Skin Care, Hair Color, Cosmetics)
  • Shopper insights knowledge
  • Achieve a level of influence internally in the Loreal Organization
  • Shown ability to have a clear plan and vision for the category and can/have mobilized the internal teams (DMI, Marketing, Sales, CMI) to execute against the plan
  • Provide clear structure and guidance in recommendations and know how to drive action plans
  • Systems knowledge in Nielsen POS, Nielsen OmniPanel, Spectra, Rakuten, Numerator, Spate, Social Listening Quid, Suzy Surveying, Talk walker
  • Role is based in NYC area
  • Overcommunication, Priority Mindset, Active Learner, Curiosity, Project management, able to be flexible and Flow to Work
