In the L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division, we change people's lives by creating the ‘beauty of health’ with our iconic brands (La Roche- Posay, Vichy, CeraVe, Skin Ceuticals). With the most prescribed brands by dermatologists and other specialists, our division is maintaining a double-digit growth worldwide for the last 5 years which is fueled by +7.5k employees around the world. 

A Day in the Life

L'Oréal's Dermatological division is searching for a data driven, detail oriented, Director of Consumer Data and Insights to lead deep dive analyses and advanced analytics projects to support our direct-to-consumer channels, to develop and execute an analytics roadmap. The expectation is that this individual will become an expert on the LDB customer by developing and disseminating customer insights and analyses that support business objectives and will work with analytics and data capture on a fleet-wide, regional, and individual store level.

Responsibilities

  • Develop divisional analytics strategy, identifying priority analyses to influence larger marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with Corporate Digital and Marketing Team to enhance company-wide analytics capabilities (dashboards, advanced analytics models, GenAi analytics) and identify future needs
  • Manage external analytics resources to prioritize requests
  • Create and distribute monthly/quarterly customer KPI Reports to assist Brands in driving their DDM goals
  • Data collection progress of each Brands
  • Product launch and product performance reports 
  • Brand level deep dives
  • Preparing customer segments for DTC, E-Retailer, and Field Teams to activate against in various channels 
  • Perform customer analyses including but not limited to deep dives into new customers and high value customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Analytics, Information Systems/Technology, or other related fields
  • 8-10 years’ experience working with SQL - mastery of SQL is a must
  • 8-10 years’ related business experience, preferably in a direct-to-consumer Retail or Digital channel
  • Experience with modern dashboarding and data visualization tools such as PowerBI and other
  • Experience with web analytics (GA4) required
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite is a must - heavy focus on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with statistical analytics languages (Python, R, SAS, etc.) is a bonus
  • Ability to effectively reconcile the needs of business stakeholders with the IT and Database management teams
  • Knowledge of integration concepts as they relate to sourcing data from disparate sources
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as a member of a fast paced, dynamic team, servicing stakeholders at both the headquarters and in the sales field
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented performer with excellent time management and prioritization skills

  • Salary Range: $138,500 - $200,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
