What You Will Do:

The Medical Relations Director is responsible for positioning skinbetter science within the Medical community and amongst Key Opinion Leader physicians, as a leading Medical Skincare brand by leveraging the scientific and clinical data supporting all products. Key areas of attention include building a reliable and influential network of KOL Doctors, elevating the perceived value of the science and clinical data supporting the skinbetter science brand and individual products, and growing the brand into a wider circle of medical partners and offices. The position requires a strong scientific acumen, business and creative orientation, as well as strong communication skills.  Ability to work flexible hours, some weekends, and travel up to 60% to support off-site meetings and scientific/clinical programs. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Plan and execute KOL engagements and activities including but not limited to peer to peer programs that position skinbetter science as a leading medical skincare brand in the medical skincare market. These events / programs should include:
    • Presentation of all scientific and clinical information supporting key skinbetter science products
    • Drive new account acquisition
    • Maximize physician / KOL relationships
    • Strengthen scientific and clinical awareness of skinbetter science in existing territories
    • Introduce and grow skinbetter science in territories with opportunities to expand
    • Stimulate awareness around core brand / product technologies
    • Educate on new scientific and technology breakthroughs
  • Direct and manage presence at industry events, not limited to:
    • Trade show attendance, participation, and conference summary reports
    • New product launches
  • Participate and assist in Advisory Boards within the US market, to help with the development of business support programs and to provide relevant industry information
  • Maintain personal / professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Manage medical relations budget as well as all performance reporting

 

What We Are Looking For:

Job Requirements:

  • PhD/PharmD/MD or other terminal degree in Science or Research required. 
  • Candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in skincare and/or professionally dispensed products such as a Medical Science Liaison
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of how the skin functions as the largest organ in the body, skincare ingredients, clinical studies and why scientific and clinical data is relevant to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Must have strong leadership ability - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude, and team spirit
  • Proven track record in building brands within the medical community and amongst Key Opinion Leaders
  • Strong organization, prioritization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
  • Excellent social, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using the Microsoft suite of applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently on projects, disseminate, and present scientific information to internal and external customers
  • Ability to work flexible hours, some weekends, and travel up to 60 %  to support off-site meetings and activities           
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent, ongoing basis, without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary Range: $126,900 - $184,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
