What You Will Learn:


We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to provide IT Center of Excellence Integrator (COEi) support to the function and HRBP support to our Senior Manager and below talent in the USA and Canada.

 

As a COE Integrator, you will support, translate, and animate Talent Management, People Development & Learning, Total Rewards, and Employee Experience activities at the divisional/functional level.  Your deep understanding of the current state and future needs of the business will enable you to effectively communicate and drive adoption of global and USA initiatives with our employee population.  

 

As an HRBP, you will support specific client groups across our North America function with day-to-day HR initiatives including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, training, compensation, data analysis, and governmental compliance. You will partner with our BEST HR team to ensure that our operational HR activities, including transactions, reporting, onboarding and offboarding are managed well and provide a positive employee experience. 

 

In this role, you will be a strategic thought partner for the IT AMER HR team and their business leaders.   You will also serve as an essential bridge to our L’Oreal USA and Global Talent Management, People Development & Learning, Employee Experience, and Total Reward teams to provide them with meaningful insight and feedback into the efficacy of our broader solutions portfolio.  

 

  • Form collaborative relationships with the USA and Global HR COE community, inclusive of Talent, Employee Experience, People Development & Learning, Salary Planning, and Total Rewards.  
  • Create awareness of resources & tools across all pillars – adapting as needed to serve and resonate with the employee population.
  • Partner with our HRBP’s to drive divisional/functional communication strategies to ensure adoption and engagement with COEs.
  • Support Global initiatives and requests aligned to the COEs. This will include a key partnership with our LDB Global Learning team, as we have specific divisional learning programs to integrate for our US team members.


Some additional details related to the COEi responsibilities are included below:


People Development & Learning:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to understand current learning & development needs; Identify gaps in current learning offerings and provide feedback to USA and Global People Development & Learning teams on learning needs not addressed in current offerings 
  • Source and manage nominations for US & Global Nomination Programs; leverage awareness of key People Review outputs to guide leaders and HR Business Partners during this process

 

Talent Management: Organize and help facilitate key talent processes across the broader HR team including People Reviews, succession planning, mobility, and development planning.  

 

  • Support talent planning efforts by facilitating calibration discussions with the  IT Leadership and HR team.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partner team on talent pipeline-related initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with the direction of the business and Beauty Tech strategy. 


What We Are Looking For (Required Qualifications):


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in human resources or related field required.
  • Minimum five years of proven human resources experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication (written/verbal), negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to build strong work relationships with all levels of the organization.  Strong customer service focus.  Must display executive maturity and manage emotions during periods of ambiguity, pressure, and uncertainty.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast paced and complex environment.  Resourcefulness is key.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with attention to detail, tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Sense of urgency and service orientation with high degree of flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures with a strong curiosity in HR and understanding of HR disciplines such as change management, organizational design, talent management, training design, employment law, etc.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Some experience with an HRIS tool.  
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and similar employee management software.
