What You Will Learn:

The processing supervisor should serve as the expert in processing systems and procedures and leads a team of processors in the efficient and timely execution of the bulk manufacture process.

  • Supervises bulk compounding within the Processing department, resolves issues in a timely manner, ensures adherence to batching procedures, safety procedures and all GMP standards. 
  • Responsible for training Processors on procedures, production, equipment use and chemical safety affecting the department and facility.
  • Responsible for reviewing and holding processors accountable for performance. In addition to recognizing superior performance, must also work with Processors to improve upon performance weaknesses.
  • Understands L’Oreal manufacturing requirements and champions independent Safety, Quality, 5S and Performance culture on the shop floor. 
  • Work extremely close with the Short-term Planners, Packaging floor, Pre-Weighing teams to ensure the right batch is weighed and made at the right time. 
  • Tracks attendance and acts as first line of management for Processors with regard to vacation requests and other absences. Ensures that appropriate recognition for attendance or counseling for attendance issues are given in a timely manner.
  • Provides coverage for other shifts during vacations or in the event of an unplanned absence.
  • Signs off on Processor hours with regard to eTime to ensure proper distribution of vacation, over-time and other time off for accurate processing of payroll.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of processing or operations/laboratory experience.
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow detailed procedures;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Specialized technical training is not required; however, technical abilities and willingness to learn is critical to success
  • Must be technically minded with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and product 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 25kg and be able to climb stairs frequently.
