What You Will Do:

Commercial Finance lead for the Food and Broker accounts.  This role oversees $150M+ in sales across three brands within the LDB portfolio, including the recently launched category of Hair.  They are a key member of both the Sales and Finance organization partnering with the cross functional account teams across Cerave, La Roche Posay and Vichy.  The Director of Commercial Finance is responsible for customer specific account controlling for these customers including customer P&L analysis, scenario planning, trade spend strategy and promotional management, and budgets and trends.

 

Position Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate across Cerave, La Roche Posay and Vichy to drive top-line sales and ROI.

 

  • Drive the business forward by providing recommendations on growth targets and opportunities to improve the P&L.

 

  • Ensure customer strategy and internal financial KPIs are aligned by developing financial analysis for JBP and incremental investment needs

 

  • Closely monitors financial impacts of distribution changes, category margins and profitability (both internal and customer profit)
  • Analyze Customer P&Ls working closely with VP of Sales and the brands on investment BTL and total customer profitability.
  • Assess new business opportunities at the customer level and the P&L impact both internally and externally
  • Present to Sales and Finance leadership through regular reviews of P&L performance, risks and opportunities, and hot topics.

 

  • Play a key role in the annual budgeting process, particularly in areas of trade spending with specific emphasis on trade spend strategy and allocation of funds.

 

  • Perform financial analysis on promotional funding requests from field sales (ROI, Net Sales Lift, Cost per incremental unit, etc.). Analyze post-promotion KPIs and leverage to forecast future performance and evaluate various promotional options.
  • Provide financial insight on Inventory in Trade and perform SISO analysis
  • Lead the account audit and internal controls process, validate promotional events are set-up properly, provide financial approval, and support internal and external audits.

 

  • Partner with sales on A/R management, ensuring deductions stay current and invalids are resolved in a timely manner.

 

Education/Experience: 

  • 8-10 years of experience in finance preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA/CPA preferred.
  • Consumer products industry experience preferred. 

 Skills:

  • Strong computer skills required; must have expert-level experience with Excel and Word.
  • Financial reporting experience and use of SAP, Hyperion, Oracle or similar systems highly desirable.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, business acumen, leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management.

Salary range: $138K-$200K
