Location: US Field Based


This is a critical leadership role accountable for creating and leading the vision, strategy & evolving structure of the DSC field sales and training team for ACD.  The company will look to this role to continually define the “value” proposition ACD brings to its retail partners and beauty service teams.  This position is responsible for achieving sales budgets, advancing strategic partnerships focused on beauty service and education, developing a high performance team culture and management of assigned budgets.


Sales Management:

  • Achieve / exceed sales goals and continually raise performance standards for the team
  • Provide leadership to team ensuring the company’s strategies, policies, and sales tactics are understood and implemented
  • Own process of creating quarterly RSTM sales goals in accordance with market trends, brand expectations and in alignment with division leadership.
  • Lead and manage strategic relationships with key retailer contacts (field and HQ) with objective of establishing ACD as the preferred partner for the evolution of beauty service programming
  • Analyze team performance, provide consistent and constructive feedback on goals & expectations.  Implement action plans as needed to develop areas of opportunities and/or correct underperformance
  • Champion the needs of the business unit, align with brand stakeholders on business needs and communicate subsequent impact of budgetary decisions and manage the Sales & Training budgets within stated allocation
  • Lead the vision and execution of all RSTM/Training meetings, (National Sales & Training Meeting, Summer National Sales & Training Meeting) own the theme, content and agenda for team.  Collaborate with marketing and sell-out/sell-in team to ensure meeting content is in line with company and retailer strategy.
  • Implement a consistent field visit calendar.  Time in market to be focused on coaching and development of team members


  • Lead the strategic direction for the training team. Ensure content and live trainings meet the needs of the brand, our retailers and elevate the knowledge of Beauty Consultants that accelerate sell out to meet quarterly objectives
  • Act as the key training contact for strategic customers, attend customer meetings as needed and create strategic plan by retailer 
  • Collaborate with international education team for content, inspiration, and adult learning/facilitation.  Bring relevant content and best practices back to US team.
  • Partner with and champion Sales & Retail Academy (SRA) colleges for US team.  Lead the strategy, direction and implementation of SRA in DSC Distribution Channels.  Track and analyze results. 
  • Oversee execution of training needs across multiple platforms / users:
    • Internal needs – effective implementation of New Hire Training, monthly training calls, NSTM, Summer Sales meeting and Train the Trainer meetings
    • External needs – implementation of retailer specific trainings, menu of courses and develop co-facilitation program with CVS & Walgreens
    • Digital training – create vision and strategy of NEW FB page for Beauty Consultants, E-Learning portals. LIVE chats
    • Printed materials – work in partnership with DMI, GMs and Content Development manager to determine the printed material needs of the sales and training team, ensure materials are delivered on time and with excellence 
  • Lead and implement a training tracking system to measure the impact of our training programs; post training analysis (data based), post training survey (qualitative feedback on training)
  • Execute strategies in line with corporate direction.  Ensure brand equity and corporate strategy is implemented in all written content and as executed by RSTM and Training team
  • Analyze team performance, provide consistent and constructive feedback on goals & expectations.  Implement action plans as needed to develop areas of opportunities and/or correct underperformance


Knowledge: Requires knowledge of how business is conducted in the assigned channels of distribution and understands the planning and decision making process and national / account perspective of the consumer packaged goods industry.

Problem Solving: Requires innovative and critical thinking in originating new and improved methods, procedures, or processes.  Responsible for contributing insights on account development in collaboration with Marketing, Customer Marketing, Finance, and Sales Administration.


  • Bachelors Degree
  • 7 - 10 years experience in sales management in the consumer products industry.  Experience to include both internal and account management experience
