What You Will Do:
This is a leadership role managing L’Oréal LDB’s Target business, inclusive of Direct Sales accountabilities for CeraVe and management additional direct reports and a multitude of cross functional partners round out the team structure. Goal achievement is critical across these businesses as the account carries a significant weight within L’Oréal LDB’s total business.
The company will look to you to project business trends at a granular level, using your knowledge to maximize business results. Actualizing against these assumptions and utilizing lessons learned is paramount to business success. Within this role, you will guide L’Oréal and Target leadership to win with our brands, while simultaneously developing bench strength and teaching core business management skills, building a high-performance team. This position is responsible for achieving monthly sales budgets, market share, profit objectives and Joint Business Plans.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Manage relationship with cross-functional internal department
- Account:
- Category Management& Buying teams, Inventory Management, Advertising/Promotions, Target.com, etc
- Internal:
- Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Revenue Growth Management, Sales Operations
- Long term strategic planning
- Joint business planning (JBP)
- Partners Online mastery inclusive of VMM (vendor terms), IMN/Launchpad (setup and attributes), VIQ (reporting), POP (Purchase Orders), etc.
- Ability to lead & coach team on Target’s core systems & portals.
- P&L management
- Strategic leadership & comprehension of Roundel/Media strategic framework, KPIs and channels
- Accountable for Gross to Net goal achievement
- Accurate Forecasting using identifiable and trackable building blocks
- Promotional planning and reporting
- Promotional Funding management & maintenance of internal records
- Category elevation at retail, aligned to L’Oréal ACD’s guidelines and sku level distribution within these destinations
- Lead preparation for internal and external meetings
- Holding the joint business plan accountable to internal Gross to Net / Profit and Loss / General Terms of Service policies
- Market visits
The Network you would Work With
- Internally you will build strong relationships with members of your team and Field Sales leadership
- You will also have close contact with other sales team members with similar brand and account focus.
- You will regularly present in front of senior management within the division.
- In addition, you will have interaction with the Marketing, Customer Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Category Management, Sales Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Training & Education, Human Resources and Medical teams of our organization.
- Externally you will be in close contact with your account’s buying team to include the Category Manager, Assistant Buyer, Financial Partner, Customer Service, Advertising Department, Marketing Department, social media, Target.com and Planogram Department.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Know-How required
- BS BA degree in business or related field.
- Experience and/or working knowledge of supporting Target
- 10 years of sales experience in the consumer products industry
- Must be flexible to travel to account meetings, sales meetings, and other meetings, inclusive of overnight travel

- Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to create and manage an account specific selling story by utilizing a combination of syndicated data, sell through and shopper data.

Location: Field based
Required Travel: Estimated- 25%, including travel to the NYC L'Oreal Headquarters.
