In the L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division, we change people's lives by creating the ‘beauty of health’ with our iconic brands. As such, we are the most prescribed brands by dermatologists and other specialists.

 

80% of cancer patients suffer from skin side effects. The Quebec Hospital Medical Representative’s mission is to raise awareness on skin toxicities due to cancer treatment and to highlight the role of adjunctive skin care in improving patient quality of life with healthcare professionals in Quebec. 


Key responsibilities 

 

Hospital Visits (Detailing)

  • Engage with oncologists and healthcare professionals in hospitals and cancer institutes to create and reinforce brand awareness on skin toxicities caused by cancer treatments.
  • Present brand priorities to healthcare professionals through ongoing in-services and congresses to increase product recommendation within oncology.
  • Support the professionalization of the detailing visit by identifying key opinion leaders to build upon existing target lists.
  • Travel will be required (20%)

 

 

Support La Roche-Posay’s Scientific Anchorage 

  • Lead the planning of scientific meetings (eg, round tables and in-services) for different groups of healthcare professionals to build brand equity and reinforce the supportive role of skincare in improving skin comfort and quality of life during cancer treatment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (eg, scientific development team and medical relations team) to identify key opinion leaders for collaborative opportunities as a way of accelerating scientific development for the brand within oncology.
  • Identify key opportunities for congresses through the building of an activation calendar while assessing type of partnerships to move forward with.
  • Regularly assess return on investment of activations through the ongoing evaluation of key performance indicators.
  • Manage territory budget
  • Monitor competitor activity 

 

 

Professional & Technical Competencies 

  • Previous medical representative experience is required (ideally in hospitals)
  • Scientific background
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to handle multiple projects and tasks 
  • Entrepreneurial skills 
  • Collaboration and empathy skills
