Position Summary

As Physical Distribution Order Processing Senior Manager to join our PPD distribution team in the Professional Products Division of L’Oréal USA. This role will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the Order Processing area including all Picking Operations, Replenishment, and End of Line Palletization. 

You will lead a team of approximately 40-45 people including 1 direct report. Responsibilities include daily allocation of resources, leadership, communication, training and coaching to ensure the department order preparation goals are met.  All must be done while adhering to Corporate safety, environmental, hygiene, quality, productivity and cost control standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for applying and enforcing Corporate safety, health and environment procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area
  • Enforces quality control guidelines and accuracy
  • Achieves daily customer order goals for picking, packing and palletization
  • Ensures each order is prepared according to individual customer requirements (order prep)
  • Monitors employee requirements, induction, training, performance and development on a daily basis.
  • Ensures compliance of employees to all corporate and departmental work policies and procedures
  • Coordinates with Operations Management maintenance and repair of department equipment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Communicate regularly through all means to coordinate functions and operations between departments
  • Continuously review processes and evaluate technical challenges in order to propose solutions, improvements or changes.

 

 Knowledge and Skills

  • BA/BS degree with supply chain and Industrial Engineering background preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operations environment with proven ability to manage large teams
  • Strong leadership, supervision, motivation, communication and planning skills.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • SAP WMS experience preferred, TMS experience a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations, strong analytical and project management skills
  • Must be able to give and receive innovative, creative and helpful feedback for team growth and productivity.

Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, with business units throughout the company, and with partners across the supply chain. Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward the business and its customers.
