Position Overview:

 

Responsible for spearheading the global medical education initiatives of a professional medical skincare brand Skinceuticals. This entails crafting and implementing comprehensive education and professional development strategies. The role necessitates close collaboration with the marketing team, international markets, industry thought leaders, sales, R&D, product development, and creative departments to achieve overarching brand objectives.

 

What You Will Do:

 

Strategy:

 

  • Develop and curate global medical education materials, ensuring their alignment with brand objectives. These materials encompass various aspects such as product launches, channel development strategy, sales techniques, product positioning, and technology advancements. The aim is to bolster sales and enhance the global presence of SkinCeuticals.
  • Foster engagement within the international community through monthly touch base calls and the exchange of best practices. This collaborative effort serves to harness collective insights and drive continuous improvement across regions.
  • Implement an assessment program to guarantee the retention of product knowledge and enhance application capabilities.
  • Act as a robust cross-functional collaborator across all DMI functions, WW Medical teams, Zones, Countries, Travel Retail, and other L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division brands.
  • Hold a pivotal position as a member of the SkinCeuticals DMI (HQ) leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Serve as the global education management partner for 40+ countries, ensuring consistency and excellence in educational initiatives.
  • Oversee the management of core pillars including product education (both retail and professional), integrated skincare training, and professional development.
  • Drive professional development efforts aimed at upskilling key stakeholders, optimizing customer journey experiences, and promoting sustainability practices.
  • Lead B2B marketing efforts, focusing on omnichannel engagement strategies to maximize brand visibility and market penetration.
  • Oversee digital platforms including the Professional website (LDB.com) and the LMS Learning platform (currently Docebo), ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing team to align and review all copy for e-commerce and social media platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Provide support to the Creative team in implementing brand changes and updates, maintaining brand integrity across all materials and platforms.
  • Act as a key collaborator with the Marketing and Innovation teams for all product launches and animations, facilitating the development of ancillary training support materials such as creative briefs, collateral materials, education formats, product guides, technical manuals, technical videos, training scripts, and other related projects.

 

Execution and Monitoring:

 

  • Conduct product education initiatives for both Retail and Professional categories, offering hands-on and theoretical training in PRO-only formats. This includes training on ingredients, formulas, webinars, live sessions, knowledge of skin diseases and conditions, as well as procedural knowledge, and integrated skincare training.
  • Develop professional development programs tailored for key medical stakeholders:
  • Implement the Master Physician program for physician/clinic owner stakeholders, deployed globally, locally, and virtually worldwide. Successfully launched a University certificate program in Business Administration ("mini-MBA") for physicians in 2023.
  • Execute the Master Aesthetician professional development program on a global scale.
  • Lead the L.E.A.D (Leadership, Education, and Development) program designed for Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Operational Managers.
  • Provide Front Desk training and Customer/Patient experience training, addressing pain points identified in patient journey research for both clinic and retail settings.
  • Deliver sustainability training tailored for clinics.
  • Drive strategy, development, and content creation for an LMS learning platform, resulting in a significant increase in sales and engagement. Currently deployed in 12 countries, offering exclusive content to key stakeholders.
  • Spearhead the strategy and creation of a brand corner for L’OrealDermatologicalBeautyPRO.com, overseeing steering committee and editorial committee activities.
  • Manage internal onboarding initiatives, both live and online, maintaining, developing, and updating a 4-week online LMS onboarding program.
  • Foster continuous innovation to enhance brand recognition and awareness.
  • Lead special projects such as the Virtual Clinic for HCP recruitment, Mental Health initiatives addressing Body Dysmorphia Disorder CME, and collaboration with the Skin of Color Society to develop and build their online learning site "DEEP," aimed at providing greater access to learning for dermatologists specializing in skin of color.

 

Distribution:

 

  • Target distribution channels include medical clinics, medical retail (Medi-spa/SkinLab), retail outlets, travel retail, e-commerce platforms, and pharmacies.

Meetings and Tradeshows:

 

  • Attend corporate global meetings such as Strategic Alignment Meetings (annually) and Worldwide Meetings (annually).
  • Participate in the International Education meeting held once a year in January.
  • Engage in globally supported medical congresses, attending up to three times a year.

 

Who you are:

 

•Bachelor's degree (aesthetician, or similar license is a plus).

• 5-7 years of global education/training work experience required, with ideal experience in medical skincare, professionally dispensed products, retail, e-commerce, and/or international brand marketing. Pharmaceutical, aesthetics, or medical marketing experience, with sales experience being a plus.

• Proven track record (minimum 5 years) in developing educational program content and conducting training

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to travel 40% domestically and internationally

• Flexible, adaptable attitude with openness to an evolving environment and international cultures

• Strong collaborative and influencing skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

• Organizational skills to proactively manage time and meet deadlines

• Alignment with SkinCeuticals mission, values, and objectives

• Problem-solving and multitasking abilities

• Authorization for ongoing employment in the United States

 

Additionally, experience in the following areas is preferred:

 

• Medical aesthetics background with experience in training dermatologists or working with injectables 

• Experience in creating content, developing strategies, and executing training for injectable products

• Ability to be based in the New York or Los Angeles

Additional Benefits Information as Follows:

Salary Range: $176,000- $265200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
