Job Title: MMS II- Forklift Operator -Physical Flows

Location: Dallas, TX - 3434 Altamoore Dr

Shift Information: 1st shift – 7am - 3:30pm

 

Position Overview/Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move and stock merchandise. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Drives electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. 

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 1 year distribution/warehouse experience 
  • Must have general computer knowledge (SAP experience a plus)
  • Must meet OSHA and company requirements for L'Oreal forklift certification and MHE training and certification.
  • Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 50lbs, walking frequently, stand for prolong periods of time and bend occasionally.

Nice to have: 

  • Proficient in written English
  • Forklift operation experience preferred.
  • Preferred 2-3 years Distribution/Warehouse experience.

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires an individual to constantly perform one and/or all of the following movements/functions:
  • Handle, reach, feel, perform fine motor manipulations with their hands, and performing gross motor manipulations involved in changing pallets, manipulating forklift controls, climbing in and out of forklift
  • Drive a forklift/trans-stacker up to 40 feet above ground;
  • Operate a computer terminal
  • Use hand held scanning devices
  • Operate stretch wrap machines, pallet up-ender, and scales
  • Have working knowledge of items produced and the system for their storage and shipment;
  • Work independently and as a team member, make decisions, and use adequate organizational and time management skills
  • Perform the physical demands listed in the “Physical Demands” section
  • Communicate well with other employees and supervisors 
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures
  • Have visual/auditory acuity required to read packing slips/invoices/labels/computer screen and hear warning alarms
  • Work flexible hours/shifts, including overtime
  • Complete written and performance forklift certification tests
  • Demonstrate good attendance

What You Will Learn:

Responsible for operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment (MHE) to move and stock merchandise. Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Drives electric powered MHE equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. 

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receives product from domestic and overseas vendors, stock transfers from other L'Oreal facilities, customer returns, refused shipments, and non-inventory support products. Accurately audits and verifies all incoming quantities for entry into computerized inventory.
  • Must be able to obtain L'Oreal forklift certification which includes a written permit test and hands-on assessment.
  • Performs on and off-site warehousing duties to include: the initial movement of materials to appropriate locations, effective space utilization, and material retrieval delivery, using powered industrial equipment as needed
  • Performs order fulfillment duties to include reviewing and prioritizing available orders, determining stock requirements, and maintaining levels of required inventory, physically picking and packing orders, auditing and verifying picked orders, preparing completed orders for shipping, using SAP and RF as needed.
  • Performs shipping duties to include Locating pallets to the dock, performing dock audits, verifying driver information, loading shipments on to trucks, properly filling out and signing BOL, tracking shipments, using SAP and RF as needed.
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently followed
  • Must understand basics of Info-Link software.
  • Must be a contributor to the L’Oréal safety culture but submitting 2 SIO’S monthly as well as participating in at least 1 Mesur every quarter.
  • Performs sortation duties to include lifting cartons at sortation, palletizing cartons, printing pallet tickets, moving freight to the dock, using SAP and RF as needed.
