As a Marketplace Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our presence on online marketplaces. Your primary goal will be to drive sales, increase brand visibility, and enhance customer satisfaction through effective marketplace management strategies.

About the role

You will work in the Division E-Commerce organization, under the responsibility of Digital Director Division. You will have the opportunity to shape the new position of ‘Marketplace Manager’ involving working closely with your business stakeholders (Head of E-Commerce Division, Supply planner, Client Lead, Corporate teams) as well as your colleagues (E-commerce activation & performance media manager, E-commerce content manager & E-Commerce Account Manager). 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketplace strategies, including the creation of an activation plan, to drive sales growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Manage and optimize product listings, ensuring accurate and compelling content, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of marketplace activities.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketplace initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in marketplace policies and algorithms.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on marketplace performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Marketplace Manager or similar role, preferably in the e-commerce industry. In-depth knowledge of various online marketplaces.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with marketplace partners.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and champion the marketplace as a channel within the wider brand strategy.
  • Proficiency in using marketplace management tools and software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving business growth.
  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch and English, French is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
