A Day in the Life
The Regional Sales Director – South is a senior field leadership role responsible for driving sell-through performance and year-over-year revenue growth across Armani Beauty and Valentino Beauty within department and specialty store retail doors across the South region. This leader serves as the strategic architect and people champion of the regional sell-through team, cultivating a high-performance culture while defending and growing share of market within our key retail partners.
This individual brings a forward-thinking, commercially savvy mindset to navigate a competitive and evolving retail landscape — building strong retailer partnerships, executing brand strategy at the store level, and developing the next generation of field talent.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven track record delivering a high-performance team culture through coaching, mentoring, and leadership. Cosmetics/Beauty industry experience required.
Proven experience managing, motivating, and developing a regional sales team.
Deep understanding of the department store and specialty retail landscape (Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, or equivalent).
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and build positive, effective business partnerships at both the field and corporate levels.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, OneNote & Teams.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
The Regional Sales Director will lead the sell-through team that drives sales revenue to deliver year-over-year growth. The goal is to create and execute strategic initiatives to defend share of market within our department and specialty retail partners.

Is a people leader trailblazer, specializing in employee performance management, who ensures clearly defined people development plans and strategies are in place.
Is highly strategic, ambitious, and commercially savvy — working with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on store placement, promotional activity, events, and education materials based on competitive insights to strengthen retail performance.
While in stores, mentors, develops, and provides side-by-side coaching with the team.
Key Accountabilities
People Leadership
Create a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and psychological safety with direct reports.
Review the initiation, progress, and achievement of regional market strategies to drive retail sales growth during status updates with direct reports.
Work side by side to train, coach, and develop direct reports for leadership development, optimized store visits, and the building and maintenance of retailer partnerships.
Co-create clearly defined career maps and succession plans with direct reports and Human Resources.
Ideate, plan, and execute biannual planning meetings for direct reports.
🛍 Customer Centricity
Conduct weekly team meetings to review sell-through success and opportunities by retailer — inclusive of newness, core, and promotional activity.
Analyze NPD and competitive market reporting to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitor landscape and department store positioning.
Provide insight on consumer shopping behaviors and suggest innovative ideas to strengthen the brand's relationship with shoppers through opportunities in product assortment, merchandising, marketing, promotions, and digital touchpoints.
Initiate quarterly business reviews with key retailer Event, Beauty, and Business Directors (e.g., Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, Macy's) to solidify event calendars and high-impact activations in priority doors — retaining the loyal luxury beauty consumer while recruiting new brand advocates.
Execute competitive training and event strategies within department and specialty store doors, engaging store teams and Beauty Advisors to support brand KPIs across new launches and core SKUs.
Identify training success and opportunities through ongoing store visit assessments and retailer feedback channels; share key findings and recommendations with relevant stakeholders.
Support direct reports in the execution of cluster trainings and in-store education events, including communication of dates, gratis ordering, and the creation of competitive analysis to share with the Education Manager.
⚙ Operations & Analytics
Forecast sales by market, ensuring annual budget, freelance allocation, and market support are aligned with business trends in the luxury makeup category — adjusting in real time as needed.
Analyze the Luxe Dashboard weekly to understand area achievement vs. budget, prior year, and market evolution; monitor key state performance to proactively mitigate risk of losing share of market.
Provide weekly area business recaps and monthly reporting identifying key SKU sell-through, promotional performance, rankings, gondola/counter productivity, and competitive sales analysis.
Continuously assess and evaluate area productivity, regional sales results, and training effectiveness across core and newness SKUs.
Review freelancer productivity, store rankings, and key SKU performance to maintain elevated results in freelance-supported doors versus non-supported doors.
Actively participate in the planning and execution of the Sell-Through National Sales Meeting and retailer leadership conferences.
Remain current on retailer process updates, portal communications, and operational guidelines across key department and specialty store partners.
Evaluate expenses related to travel and logistics, product closet, meetings, and freelance budgets to control variable expenses and increase profitability through monthly P&L review.
Manage ordering of Season in a Box, car stock, GWP, and sampling needs to ensure field team readiness.
Maintain the sell-through field address list to ensure accuracy and alignment with current door distribution.
What We Offer
