As the Internal Control for Corporate Function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with internal controls and trade policy regulations. You will be responsible for assessing risks, designing, and implementing controls, and monitoring adherence to policies and procedures within the trade policy function across all divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Internal Control Roadmap and priorities: Create and implement robust internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures specific to activities monitored by North America corporate function; ensure internal control by design on all projects
  • As part of a matrix environment, serve as the go-to-person for ALL internal control matters for PPD (Professional Products Division); partner with other internal control members (ex. trade policy, digital, supply chain, sourcing, etc.) to assist the division in all areas of internal control
  • Audit Management & Follow up: In charge of success of internal and external audits at North America Zone level (ex. data, sustainability, business continuity, corruption prevention, legal, 3rd party workforce management, capital indicators, L4TF, GATE, etc.) and implementation of recommended actions within specified timeline; prepare detailed reports for PPD and L’Oreal US management highlighting control deficiencies, improvements, and compliance status.
  • Controls Design and Implementation: Develop and implement effective internal controls to mitigate identified risks, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data and data privacy, sustainability, business continuity, corruption prevention, loyalty programs, discount management, capital indicators, legal activities, etc. 
  • Self-Assessment Campaigns: Lead annual self-assessment of North America campaign; consolidate results on risks, control gaps, and areas for improvement; drive action plan implementation to address identified gaps.
  • Norms Development and communication: Assist in the development, review, and implementation of internal control norms at zone level and within PPD; communicate new norms and work stakeholders to ensure compliance with existing and new norms
  • Training and Education Communication: Communicate and help facility training, education sessions and learning tips (internal control Tik Tok) to relevant personnel on different internal control issues and company procedures.
  • Reporting, Communication and others: Prepare reports and presentations on internal control compliance and identified risks at Zone Level as well as for PPD management; in charge of internal control award selection and ceremony at the Zone level




Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/ Engineering or a related field. MBA preferred, but not required 
  • At least 10 years of overall experience in internal or external audits/ internal control
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Experience in risk assessment, control design and implementation, and internal audit methods.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; demonstrate strong level of influence 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
