What are key highlights of this role?

 

The job mission is to provide a total HR Service to the Distribution Centre covering aspects such as recruitment, employee engagement, career development, remuneration, training, industrial relations, CSR and HR developments. This role is part of the Distribution Centre Management Committee and reports to the Distribution Centre Manager. It functionally reports to the Human Resources Director for UK & Ireland Physical Distribution.

 



Key Responsibilities

 

Provide a total HR service to the Luxury Divison Distribution Centre. The role will includes:

  • Recruitment of talented individuals (with the UK recruitment team) targeting zero vacancies, diversity and a pipeline of future talent.
  • Manage induction for new starters ensuring smooth integration to L’Oréal.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and the L’Oréal Code of Ethics.
  • Ensure compliance with all L’Oréal policies.
  • Be a trusted point of contact for the DC population.
  • Manage HR development processes from performance appraisal through to Training & Development.
  • Manage the DC Training budget customizing learning solutions and interventions where appropriate. 
  • Manage Compensation & Benefits for the DC.
  • With the HRD for Physical Distribution, drive and support the annual wage negotiations with the Unions.
  • Manage payroll and all administrative processes.
  • Ensure maintenance of HR Reporting systems and KPIs.
  • Manage the internal communications for the Trafford site including team briefing, CSR activities and site events.
  • Participate in site Safety and Environmental Committees.
  • Contribute to the wider L’Oréal HR team and participate in HR transversal projects

 


 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Experienced in a similar role, you should be confident that you can demonstrate the following:

 

- CIPD qualified or with suitable alternative proven practical HR experience.

- Relevant HR experience, preferably in an FMCG environment

- Full working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice

- Expertise in recruitment techniques and strategies, to include direct sourcing.

- Ability to deal with senior management to convince and influence effectively

- Ability to coach and develop individuals.

- Proactivity, confidence, personal impact and enthusiasm

- Team spirit, commitment and strong work ethic.

- Confidentiality and integrity.
