SUMMARY:

Kiehl’s Since 1851 is one of the most innovative, passionate, creative brands within L’Oreal worldwide. The Regional Director is responsible for leading the sales organization, promotional execution, and profit protection for all Kiehl’s Since 1851, free standing stores. This role will collaborate closer with the VP of Stores to identify selling trends, develop strategies and implement action plans to positively impact and drive business. You will lead District Manager’s through coaching and mentoring and maintain excellent relationships with home office partners and store teams. This role is responsible for their onboarding, training, development, recruiting and retention for District Managers.


This role will require strong time and team management skills, organization and detail orientation to maintain the quality of both our internal and external deliverables. Effective communication and  collaboration with the VP of Store, HR, Finance, Retail Store teams, Marketing and Supply Chain is required to support sales programs and initiatives .Therefore sound decision making, ability to influence decisions, express a point of view that represent the brand and interpersonal skills are a necessity. This role will require intermittent supervision to maintain a proper corporate direction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive sales to meet/exceed budget by leading District Managers and store leaders, by building strong relationships.
  • Lead with consistency, fairness and with passion for results.
  • Exhibit ownership and provide consistent direction for District Managers and store leaders as well as be a leader to execute business plans, and ensure company objectives are achieved.

  • Collaborate with various business partners (Marketing, Communications, Store Operations, Training, Finance and Human Resources) to share best practices and execute business strategies.
  • Drive a consistent brand message across regions within the assigned market by providing strategic insight and clarity to District Managers and store leaders.
  • Coach and develop District Managers and store leaders on business acumen, visual presentation through store visits and exceptional onboarding.
  • Execute special projects under direction of Vice President of Stores.

Experience, Competencies and Physical Requirements

  • 7 + years of managing multiple store environment with broad geographic scope; store retail experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales by leading, motivating and developing a team.
  • Exceptional business acumen required.
  • Highly resourceful, flexible and ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to translate findings to positively impact business.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to remain stationary or sit for the majority of a scheduled day.
  • Must be able to stand and move around a store for the majority of a scheduled day.
  • Able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment throughout the day.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field of study required.
  • Ability to travel 60-80% based on business needs.
