This position is responsible for supporting the Director of L4TF/Sustainability in facilitation of L4TF zone-level commitments, coordinating data collection and verification to support claims and tracking the achievement of our goals. This role will support the work of strategizing, driving, and supporting L4TF ambitious programs, with an emphasis on waste, water, energy, and biodiversity.  


Role & Responsibilities  

Candidates must be highly organized, reliable, and self-starting with strong project management and data skills. The successful candidate will have a passion for sustainability, strong attention to details and a willingness to roll up their sleeves as part of a hardworking team. This position will be responsible for supporting the management of the L’Oreal for the Future program and assist with vendor management, coordination with teams across L’Oreal North America Zone, goal tracking and setting, and more. Quick learning and problem-solving is a must, as well as interest in a broad range of sustainability topics. 




  • Data Dashboarding. Support data collection, management, verification and tracking for our L4TF KPIs. 

  • Project Management. Liaison working with the relevant zone teams on data, goal setting and progress. 

  • Environmental Research & Support. Provide ad-hoc research, data collection, information synthesis, meeting support and analysis drafting, e.g., PowerPoint briefing decks and research memos on environmental sustainability topics. 

  • Reporting. Report sustainability progress & updates to North America stakeholders, and help develop streamlined reporting, tracking and verification processes.   



  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, sustainable development or environmental sciences preferred. Master’s degree in sustainability, environmental sciences, or sustainable development preferred.  

  • Strong demonstration of data management and analytical skills. 

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including and especially Excel. 

  • 3-5 years of experience working with an academic institution, NGO or corporation supporting sustainability initiative development and/or implementation. At least 2 years of experience in the corporate sector.  

  • Proven ability to collaborate with all business unit partners, navigate complex data sets, and articulate the story the data is telling to a wide range of audiences. 

  • Team player with the highest ethical standards and a “can-do” attitude. 

  • Strong writing, oral and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced and results-driven environment. 

  • Be highly organized and pay close attention to detail and deadlines 

  • Interest and curiosity for technical topics around sustainability (such as life cycle analysis, renewable energies, the sourcing of ingredients, sustainable packaging design).
