What You Will Do:

L'Oréal is seeking a skilled Component Supply Planner, responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient availability of various components, packaging materials, and associated master data required for the manufacturing and packaging of L'Oréal products. As part of our dynamic supply chain team, this role is essential for maintaining a smooth supply chain, optimizing inventory levels, and meeting production schedules to support L’Oréal’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Materials Supply Planning

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet production demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, sales forecasts, and product demand fluctuations
  • Monitor and analyze demand patterns, material consumption, and supplier performance to make data-driven decisions


Inventory Management

  • Conduct regular analyses of inventory data, identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and proposing corrective actions
  • Regularly assess and implement safety stock levels based on demand variability and lead time fluctuations to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure customer service levels are met
  • Drive alignment for divisional liability of business-owned obsolete stocks 


Supplier Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with component suppliers, negotiating terms, addressing supply constraints, and ensuring on time deliveries 
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and financial stability
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, cost-effectiveness, and communication to resolve supply issues promptly while adhering to L'Oréal's ethical and sustainability standards


Performance Metrics and Reporting

  • Utilize advanced supply chain management tools and systems to analyze complex data sets, derive actionable insights, and support informed decision-making
  • Provide feedback to the corporate sourcing team to address supplier performance issues and influence future contracts
  • Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to materials procurement
      1. Master Data accuracy
      2. Health of Inventory
      3. Agility Improvement
      4. Supplier Performance 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement within the procurement process 
  • Collaborate with supporting stakeholders such as production, quality assurance, and sourcing to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives to reduce lead times for critical materials through process improvement, transportation optimization, or alternative sourcing options

What We Are Looking For: 

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred) or applicable industry experience
  2. High Proficiency in MS Excel required (including data analysis, logic testing, pivot tables)
  3. Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is preferred
  4. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  5. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
  6. Results-driven mindset with the ability to influence and drive positive change within the organization
  7. Adaptability to dynamic environments and an eagerness to take initiative in driving supply chain excellence
