Join our Supply Chain team in the capacity of a Project Manager

The Supply Chain team at the European Distribution Center for the L’ORÉAL LUXE division in Mönchengladbach (Germany) is to reinforce the sustainability projects, to increase the customer satisfaction and to contribute to the growth by acting as a business partner.

Currently we’re recruiting for our European HUB in our German Distribution Center in Mönchengladbach a customer-focused, organizationally-savvy, project managing whiz to serve as a Process Project Manager for returns. Our Distribution Center strengthened by its nearly 200 employees is delivering more than 25 countries in Europe and beyond.

EACH DAY AS PART OF THIS TEAM, YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

Think strategic by taking ownership and by managing & driving key projects in the Mönchengladbach logistics center in a working environment characterized by a strong team spirit.

Act Tactical by collecting, recording, analyzing and delivering the requested processes (eg. return sorting) according to the L'OREAL Group requirements by creating detailed concepts. Work with a high level of agility and business acumen to mitigate the impact on the customers and on the business results and to strongly drive the sustainability projects.

HERE’S HOW YOU WILL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY IN IT:

As Project Manager you will:

• Identify manual sorting interfaces with process equipment and develop robust, risk-mitigating, modular, and ergonomic workplace solutions, including CAPEX assessment
• Develop specifications for the redemption return sorting process to be used for solidarity procurement.
• Stabilize the new returns sorting process up to final acceptance / handover to the returns and rejections operation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
• Are responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope
• Develop comprehensive project plans that you coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure compatibility
• Ensure that safety, performance and quality objectives are met in your area of operation.

THE SKILLS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

HARD SKILLS:

• 2 - 4 years of professional experience in project management.
• Excellent knowledge of warehouse and picking processes.
• High level of initiative, ability to work under pressure and a strong ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent analytical skills, fact based
• Excellent knowledge of SAP
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle and analyze large data (e.g. PowerBI)
• Lean management skills would be appreciated.

SOFT SKILLS:

• Curious mindset that’s eager to learn and improve

• Comes up with and implements innovative ideas

• Agility, responsiveness and an eye for priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in dealing with colleagues and contacts
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• English (excellent written and verbal communication)
• German (excellent written and verbal communication)
• French (would be appreciated)
