We have a suitable opportunity for the position of Senior Manager Sales Planner (Modern Trade). This is an individual contributor role where one must do analysis of market trends, business performance and its levers and make recommendations. You should have minimum 6 - 8 years in Sales Planning, General Trade Sales, or Modern Trade Sales. Applicants with experience in FMCG (either Key Accounts or sales operations) or retailing would be preferred. The location of the job will be Mumbai H.O.

Key Deliverables:

Business Planning:

·       Responsible for Key Account Sales Planning and Forecasting

Business Performance and Reporting:

  • Responsible for closely monitoring and tracking business delivery
  • Root cause analysis – What’s working and What isn’t
  • Solution Design and Deployment to ensure delivery in line with organisation’s objectives
  • Leading the MIS team to ensure proper dashboarding and reporting of key KPIs

Reciprocal Partnership and Stakeholder alignment:

  • Ensuring alignment across key stakeholders – Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Sales

Budget Management:

  • Build and own the Modern Trade Spend Kitty
  • Prioritise and optimize spends to maximise ROI

Business Transformation:

  • Leading the Business Transformation agenda for Modern Trade across key Growth drivers (Availability, Visibility, and Implementation) and Enablers (Process, Capability, Organisation Design, Data, and Analytics)

Key Competencies:

  • Understanding of the Modern Trade Channel: Ways of working
  • Structured thinker with an Analytical bent of mind
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Keen learner with a desire to challenge the status quo and make an impact

Key Relationships:

This is a Team Management role. The role reports into the head of Sales Planning, Trade Marketing and Business Transformation.

·       Internal: Key Accounts Chains, Marketing, Sales Development, Supply Chain and Regional Sales Team, Operations, Logistics, customer service and control team

·       External: 3P agency partners

Physical Demands (e.g. % travel):

  • Travel will be need based

Education and Work Experience:

  • MBA
  • Should have worked in a front-line Modern Trade Sales role: NAM, KAM, ASM
  • A stint in Trade Marketing will be an added advantage to the candidature
